I have had the most amazing teachers and life herself to show me time and time again what it is all about. I had the honor to learn in depth from indigenous people in Ecuador and Palestine. Also went deep in other places like DR Congo, South Africa, Mexico, India, etc. I studied literature and politics, worked in classical media, founded Radio Utopistan and published a book about the most constructive story I could find so far: Rights of Nature. My tools come from art, activism and community. From tapping into energies and frequencies and people's hearts. I know how to listen and can see through the distractions and excuses into the essence of your story.

Weaving Visions for a New World is a 1:1 close proximity mentorship for people, who work towards a just and joyful future and desire to have a greater and brighter impact in their field. You want to develop and fine tune the art of storytelling so that your work reaches deep and in a transformative way? You are done with having to perform some kind of soulless circus for the algorithm or play the games within the shark tank of your industry? I know you want to be real. You want to share your truth. Because everything else is just an empty performance, service by the rules of somebody else.

In this six week long journey, we will expand and sharpen your vision, find your personal tools to stay grounded while spreading your words. We will root your work in a collective story and develop the first powerful action steps to turn your vision into a real Utopia. After our trip you will have more courage and inspiration as well as a toolbox to keep building your version of the new world even if the storm hits hard. And it will.

Six weeks are not enough to turn everything around, of course. But depending on where you are coming from and how we match, even that is possible. Six intense weeks with me will definitely be enough to give you courage, clarity and inspiration to deepen your impact and calm your nervous system. You will have some potent tools to keep going on your own. And of course we could go longer together.

RE-IMAGINATION AS RESISTANCE

The crisis of the world is mostly a crisis of imagination. We lack the power of envisioning. We can neither imagine the extent of the chaos, destruction and suffering that is rolling towards us, nor can we envision a more just future for all living beings on this planet. What could be other ways of organizing our societies? What could be other ways of relating to nature? Other ways of organizing our food, our housing, our infrastructure and our health? How could we do this as societies, not just on an individual level? We don't dare to dream. We don't dare to believe in utopias, let alone stand up for them.

BUT YOU DARE TO DREAM. That is why you are here. And you know about the power of your dream. You just didn't dare to put it into a concrete story yet, a real Utopia. Or you lost hope and courage along the way. So lets craft it together. Give it an energy boost, a concrete shape and concrete steps. 

You don't need to fight with the old system. We will create new ones. The old tools of fear and hate and domination will not help us build a just and joyful future. We will find and develop tools for your personal Utopia. We will weave more possibility and big vision into your work. We will awaken the storyteller and steward of hope within you. Imagine!

Root #1 Storytelling as nourishment

Stories are like food for us humans. We live off of them. What kind of stories are you allowing to enter your body, heart and mind? What kind of stories are you spreading? Are they healthy? Are they true?

It is not easy to stay tuned into constructive stories in our world full of destruction, fear and separation. We humans are addicted to possible danger and drama. Constructive storytelling is not about toxic positivity but about seeing the whole picture and focusing on what is nourishing. 

* We will deepen your personal story and find its connection to the story of the collective, the story of your society.

* We will uncover how you can craft constructive stories for your work and also in your private life because all is connected. 

Root #2 Landscapes of joy as liberation

The more the powers of the world are about to extinguish life on earth the more important it is to celebrate life, to nourish life and to actually live life. To bring life and joy to your work. It is an act of resistance to do so. That does not mean that we do not honor the lives taken, that we do not grief. It means to honor and respect the dead with our life. Joy means liberation. It means the oppressive systems are not able crash us.

Besides that joy is contagious. To tell your stories, to do your work in a way that is honoring and celebrating life will more likely inspire others to join you. There is enough fear and hatred in the world. If we want to see more joy and justice, we need to bring more joy and justice.

*We will find your way of storytelling that unlocks joy and a just lust for life. Because this is the richest soil on which hope and constructive action can grow.

*Therefore we will unlock the joy and aliveness within you. So your stories can be full of it.

Root #3 Remembering Equilibrium

My biggest teacher is nature. And nature thrives for an ever changing and ever moving balance. Her tool is reciprocity. The beings within an ecosystem are always giving and receiving, they are in a constant exchange. Justice means balance and balance means justice. Everything is connected. That is why everything matters, even the little steps. And the stories you tell yourself in your head. Everything is connected and part of the greater ecosystem of life on earth. That is why it doesn't matter, in which field you are working: agriculture, law, education, housing, etc. Every field has an impact on the greater good. Every field needs visions, real utopias. Every story makes a contribution, is part of the web of life.

But our human world is totally out of balance. Storytelling, our voices and actions based on those stories can reinstall balance. This way we can re-imagine a world in which balance is the norm and not the exception. A world, in which nobody is exploited. Everybody is giving and receiving. Imagine!

We will find stories and tools of justice and reciprocity for your personal vision. So neither you nor the planet gets burned out.

Root #4 Re-imagining Home

I have always struggled with finding a home and feeling at home in a geographical sense. Since five years now I do not even have a permanent residence anymore. My books and things are in friend's cellars and in a container. I am constantly moving around. 3 months in Ecuador, 3 months in Germany, 3 months in Greece. Before October 7th also Palestine. It can be exhausting but it has shown me how to focus on the essentials and sharpened my ability to form and value other connections: 

*human connection 

*connection to self

*connection to nature

*connection to spirit

And this is what I want to share with you. Because if we are not grounded in whatever home we built for ourselves our stories and our voice will have less impact. They might even contribute to destructive systems. Because when our voice, stories and therefore actions are coming from lack and fear we will rather use tools of separation, domination like shaming or judging. They will not build the new world. Tools of unification, solidarity and equality will. But it is hard to find them when we are under pressure ourselves. When we are in panic, fear or even hate because of the bills we have to pay, because of climate collapse, genocide or whatever existential threats out there.

In our journey we will uncover very personal ways for yourself to find stories, tools and actions based on your vision of the new world even when under pressure.

We will uncover what home means to you and how you can ground yourself in it, so your voice and stories are coming from love and deep-rootedness.

Format

In six weeks we will have 4 x 90 minutes video calls and an almost daily voice message exchange with more exercises, inspiration, meditation and Q&A possibility. I can give honest feedback to your writing and other work during the course of our journey.

There will be some theory about constructive storytelling but mostly there will be exercises, envisioning, embodiment, meditation and real action steps towards your Utopia

Pricing

As one of my roots is reciprocity I will give 10 percent to the people who taught me about life as a story just by being who they are, doing what they do and sharing their time with me: Indigenous people in Ecuador and Palestine. We can decide together who that is for your money.

If you are interested in this mentorship for a group, e.g. a team, a NGO or a company we can find a format and pricing for that. 

There is also the option to pay with something else than money, e.g. hosting me for 6-12 weeks, depending on time, space and energy.
